DSDT
(Double Skin - Double Tuning)
The DSDT is the only DoubleSkin drum I make.
Double Skin means that two single drum skins are mounted on a drum. Usually they are not glued together and the exterior side of the goat skin is on the outside at both skins. Both skins have their own unique natural vibrations. So they mute each other in some frequencies. The result is a more "dull" sound. Some players would say more 'bassy' or a 'warmer' sound
The tendency in recent years has shown a clear trend to SingleSkin drums, as these are easier to modulate with the left hand and the sound is mostly described as more lively.
Nevertheless, also DoubleSkin drums have their enthusiastic supporters. Some players prefer this very typical DS sound.
With the DSDT I offer a DS bodhrán with both optimal playing and tuning comfort.

This drum model is equipped with a special tuning system that allowes to tune each of the two skins individually or collectively.
It opens up new possibilities for sound variation. For example it is possible to get different tentions of the interior and the exterior skins.

The Details:
- Frames made of layered, solid beech, like all HighEndLine models.
- 40cm diameter (ap. 16").
- 17cm deep frame (ap. 6,8") with cutout.
- 6 black adjusters for seperately exterior skin tuning.
- 6 red adjusters for the tool-less tuning of both skins.
- Special leather strip under drum skin.
- Taped between the drum skins.
